Abstract
 
 
We sketch a framework for an implementation on top of a grid environment that could realize a convenient virtual shared memory programming environment for grids. For this work we adopt NestStep, a structured parallel programming language based on the Bulk Synchronous Parallel (BSP) model of parallel computation.
